Our advanced program is designed to complement our basic Kids Yoga certification (online or live) and provides the additional 72+ hours necessary to receive a full 95 hr certification that enables you to register as RCYT with Yoga Alliance.**

Breakedown, Curriculum and Expectations

Breakdown of Certification Hours

In Person Training in Orlando: 37 contact hrs (36 hours over the 4 days live in Orlando, and then a scheduled 1 hour live practicum class for each participant).
Virtual Zoom Sessions: 4 2-hour sessions (to check in, review assignments, discussion, support, etc.; 8 hours in total).
Self-paced work: 30 hours
(completion of the supplemental courses that are included).

Classroom techniques, communication with children
Anatomy, changes in childhood development, contraindications, benefits, body systems, organs, etc.
Philosophy and ethics
Developmental stages
Yoga for children with disabilities
Teen Yoga
Yoga in schools
Yoga for toddlers and babies
Business and marketing

Expectations

Attend all virtual and live sessions.
Daily Yoga practice following our included online classes/exercises.
Daily journaling activities.
Group assignments to be completed during live lecture time and on your own.
Completion of assigned online KAY-tinuing Education courses and successful completion of associated quizzes.
Completion of various practicum assignments and teaching a minimum of 30min total, part of it can be done online.
Observation of live and online KAY classes.
Teach and engage in peace, love, sharing, caring, compassion, non-violence, karma, co-existence, kindness, spirituality, and tolerance

Schedule

We provide recordings of all the virtual lectures however we do expect you to attend at least 50% in person. We expect you to watch the recording of missed lectures and turn in the group work assignments on your own.

*If you’re already certified with KAY, you’re not required to attend the basic training during the first weekend.

If you hold an alternative Kids Yoga certification, please send a copy to info@kiddingaroundyoga.com for approval. You will still need to review our basic course as our advanced course is building on this knowledge.

Alternative Certification Paths

It is preferred that you have taken a 2-day training, our Virtual Path Training, or our Online Path Training plus the OKAY Virtual Supplement before the advanced training. However, you can attend the advanced training first if need be. Or, have you taken a basic Kids Yoga certification program other than KAY? You can still attend our advanced training and be eligible to receive your 95-hour certificate. Here’s how…

“I haven’t taken an initial Kids Yoga training yet.”

Select the ‘Bundle Program’ option.
Complete your registration form and submit your initial payment.
Complete as much of the Virtual Path – Online Kidding Around Yoga as you can. You can do this concurrently with the advanced training.

“I have completed my initial Kids Yoga training with another school (RCYS).”

Select the ‘Standard Program’ option.
Submit your initial Kids Yoga training certificate to us for approval on your registration form (info@kiddingaroundyoga.com).
Make your initial payment for the training.
Pay a $150 fee to gain access to the online coursework that will need to be completed in its entirety before attending the advanced 95 hour training you register for. Details of how to make this payment will be sent to you after your registration is complete.

How to register as a RCYT with the Yoga Alliance

There is no time frame in which you are to fulfill all of your 95-hour requirements with YA. You do not need to be a 200-hour certified teacher when you begin the process. However, you must be 200-hour certified if and when you register with the Yoga Alliance for your RYT and subsequently for your RCYT. Complete 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training
Complete 95-hour advanced Children’s Yoga Teacher Training
Submit 30 teaching hours in Kids Yoga that take place AFTER you get your 95-hour advanced Children’s Yoga Teacher Training certificate

Yoga Alliance Certification and Requirements

Yoga Alliance registration is not the same as “certification.” If you have completed our basic 2-day KAY training, you are fully certified to teach yoga to children in any capacity and are not required to complete further training or to join the Yoga Alliance.

Cancellation Policy

Training price is fully refundable for 24 hours from time of purchase. After this time it is non-refundable.

There are no discounts available for this training besides the early bird discount.

**Yoga Alliance standards apply which include the previous registration of a 200 hour certification. Once you have registered your 95 hour certification you are expected to teach and log 30 hours of teaching experience before the RCYT status is confirmed.
