I am a certified children’s advanced (95-hour) yoga teacher with the well-known international company, Kidding Around Yoga. I am also a certified 200-hour yoga teacher. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies and a Master’s degree in Linguistics. The teaching experience I acquired over the course of many years helped me realize that I truly enjoy teaching. Most importantly, I love supporting students to deal with their social and emotional challenges.
My own long-term depression and anxiety opened up a beautiful path to practice yoga, meditation, and mindfulness. These practices helped me find a sense of peace and calm within myself. The experience ultimately led me to find my passion to share the gift of yoga with children.
My mission is to help with raising kind, loving, physically, and emotionally healthy children. With the help of my fun filled yoga classes, I teach all the tools children need to navigate through their daily social and emotional challenges with ease. I am here to help them understand that they are love and they are loved just the way they are, they are more than enough, they are here to make a difference, and create a better world one filled with peace, love, and joy! I help them discover the power they already have within themselves to thrive and live their life to the fullest!
Through Kidding Around Yoga (KAY) classes I am able to teach:
- Stretching and strengthening poses: poses in a KAY class are imaginative and fun, giving children confidence, a strong and flexible body, and a way to self soothe.
- Relaxation techniques: students learn meditation and create a quiet, safe place in their minds to allow calming and healing to begin.
- Breathing instruction: children learn ways to change their moods, boost their energy level, and reduce stress simply by controlling their own breath.
- Music, games, and imagination: KAY’s magic is in our playfulness, keeping your child motivated and moving. This is not your typical Yoga class. A KAY class gets children singing, dancing, skipping, marching, jogging, shaking, laughing, hopping, limbo-ing, and storytelling. ALL while practicing Yoga to original KAY music.
KAY classes will provide your children and students with life-long skills that will give them a sense of calm, balance, and power. I invite you to give the gift of this unique opportunity to your children and students. I am delighted to share KAY with you and your young ones!
