It is often said we can learn a lot from children, and yoga is just another example of how that is so true. Kids get stressed out too, or feed off our stress, and this amazing program can really help kids in need.

I got some great feedback from last week’s class… one mom emailed saying [her daughter] went to the secret garden that night before she went to bed… that made my day because this little girl suffers from anxiety and I helped her find a peaceful place… I LOVE this!!!!

Last night I had back to back classes at the studio where I teach. A kids class followed by an adults class. When I went to put the music on for my adults class, the kids play list was still on and I blasted “A Yogi Went to Sea” accidentally… they wanted to hear it so I left it on. We ended up doing all of the songs on the play list (30 minutes) and then continued on with a super playful “adults” class afterwards. They absolutely LOVED the class and I received messages from the students afterwards saying that it was the “funnest” Yoga class they have ever done!!

As cliche as it sounds, the KAY training I took has changed my life, as well as my family. I have learned invaluable information to bring back to my classroom that not only the kids love but that makes my job WAY MORE FUN! I am stopped everywhere I go and get asked if I am the Yoga lady and the children want to know if they can come to one of my classes. Once you see a child’s face as they float out of your door, you will be a believer!!!

I’m a 500hr certified Yoga instructor. This training is preparatory. It’s thorough. It gives you a vision of how you can spread the fun. This is organized in such a way that it gives you a base of support. It gives you an outline. And then there are so many choices of how you can use games and activities. It gives you the freedom and the empowerment to go be your own teacher. So we’re spreading the word. We’re getting the way of life of Yoga out there.

Just wanted to share that the Tuesday after training I went all through the school and yoga, mindfulness and little brain breaks were EVERYWHERE! It is amazing the change in all my staff. We always had mindfulness built in, but the teachers and staff are taking it to a whole new level! Yay! Thank you!!

One of the best personal and career decisions I have ever made was to become a Kidding Around Yoga licensee. I was looking to invest myself into a company that values authenticity, collaboration, integrity and positivity and when I took the live training, it solidified my feelings that Kidding Around Yoga was in alignment to my philosophy and ethics. Becoming a licensee was a quick, organic and easy progression into creating a business in service to children and families. Im a busy Mom at home full time during the day with my children and I work and volunteer part time in the evenings and on weekends. I knew that taking on another professional commitment would add more fun and chaos to the mix so I wanted to utilize any support Kidding Around Yoga could offer me to get up and running. After finishing the licensee test, I was officially congratulated and welcomed into an amazing online forum of licensees. In the forum I have found support in whatever it is I have needed to create my Yoga business. Whether it be hand holding, enthusiasm, marketing strategies, business & logo basics, website building, social media support, etc. When I become a licensee, I became a part of a family that shares the same passion and dedication to expand Kidding Around Yoga classes to as many children as possible. I was given a beautiful website, advice on starting my own facebook page and access to incredible professional marketing tools. I don’t want to call it a ‘business in a box’ because its SO MUCH MORE but with all the support KAY offers, my business really did get created by just lifting that lid and getting myself out there! A big bonus of becoming a licensee is that there is always room to expand my creativity. Haris Lender, the founder of KAY encourages her teachers to share their unique style and approach in collaboration with Kidding Around Yoga. She takes the time to talk with you, learn about what lights you up inside and finds ways for you to express this within your business and within the Kidding Around Yoga curriculum. Thank you for this wonderful opportunity KAY.

As you already know, the benefits of Yoga are infinite… for many students it brings much needed calm, and for others increased alertness. Your music enhanced the experience tenfold . . . it captivated students’ attention, freed me from excessive verbiage and allowed students to access the spiritual essence of Yoga through words and music. Our performance of your song, Salutation to the Sun, at our 100th Day of School celebration will always be one of my favorite teaching memories.

My name is Rebecca and I trained several years ago with Kidding Around Yoga. I am a full time primary school teacher in Oxford and I teach your Kidding Around Yoga every week. It is without doubt the best part of the whole week for children and for me. Every single child loves it. They then sing all the words to your songs in the playground and start impromptu yoga sessions themselves on the field rather than playing other games. They use all the strategies you give in their daily lives and they are all fine calm, peaceful, kind, loving children. We have children with high level of need, some children with ADHD and autism and all children, without exception love everything about Kidding Around Yoga. I want to say thank you so much. This has transformed the classroom. Every parent at the recent online Parents Evening said that it was their child’s favourite subject and attendance is excellent in the hope we’re doing yoga again that day.  It has led to a calm, purposeful atmosphere with calm, peaceful, happy children. Just wanted you to know the impact you have had for us and I’m sure all over the world.

WOW!!! I am so excited to have completed the KAY program. I could not have asked for a better mentor. Mandy was wonderful! She gave me great feedback and I never felt alone throughout the course. I stumbled onto KAY when I was looking around for ways to help my then 6 year old daughter. She was not doing well in school and in other areas and so our pediatrician prescribed Vyvanse. This is a common drug used to treat children with ADD/ADHD. My heart sank at the idea that I would have to medicate her as a way to help her function well in school and at home. There had to be a better alternative….and that’s when we found KAY. We discovered that yoga helped quiet her mind that seemed to constantly be on overdrive. She learned ways to calm herself when she was feeling overwhelmed and overstimulated. At nighttime, which was always a battle, turned into a pleasant transition with calm pranayama, meditations and asanas that help her prepare for a good night’s rest. I have seen first hand what a blessing yoga has been for my little girl and myself. I also have a daughter in college that frequently practices yoga for stress management and even pain relief (menstrual, headaches, you name it). I want to share what I have learned and the benefits of yoga to young children. Not all children will have the same wonderful results as Maria, but I believe every child in one way or another will benefit from this practice. Thank you once again from the bottom of my heart.
