Kidding Around Yoga (KAY) has been an incredibly positive addition to my life. I’ve been working for kids and with kids for 15 years, but since becoming a certified KAY Teacher, I’ve never had quite this level of fun and meaning from it. I’m excited to see where this journey takes me and would love for you and your children to be part of it!
Although it feels like another lifetime ago, I worked for the federal government in a Crimes Against Children Unit serving as a data collector and research assistant. After I became a parent of two (really cool!) kids and making the decision to stay at home with them for several years, I found a new career as a teaching assistant for my son’s preschool. I taught 2-5 year olds for five years. All of these experiences led me to Kidding Around Yoga and then also training to become a 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher, Yoga Alliance, to teach all ages. I’m incredibly grateful for the freedom to explore this passion of mine and want to share it with EVERYONE!
Kidding Around Yoga (KAY) certifies their teachers to educate kids with yoga, meditation, and mindfulness to provide exercise, stillness, and a connection to the world around them. Our teachers learn and teach the same methods to provide consistency and familiarity wherever you may take a KAY class.As I was sitting in my teacher training class, I had an overwhelming feeling that this was exactly where I needed to be. Haris Lender has set magic into motion by providing the world with Kidding Around Yoga.
I am a kids and adult yoga teacher to continue reminding myself that play is important, laughing is essential, and that peace is obtainable in a world that can feel a bit out of control. I’m grateful I continue to be available at home for my kids but look forward to being part of your family too. My heart is full when I think of the kids I will connect with by showing them a path I wish I would’ve been shown 40 years ago!
