I am a 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher, 95-hr Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher (RCYT), Registered Prenatal Yoga Teacher (RPYT), a former preschool teacher, a wife, and a mother of two wonderful boys. Since obtaining my Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Pacific Lutheran University in 1994, I have had an obsession with sharing my love of all things health and fitness related with people of all ages. My former position as a preschool teacher and currently as a children’s yoga instructor has allowed me to reach many tiny, wonderful humans who are excited to move and dance and get strong! I feel strongly that if we can share yoga with children, we can help them with self-regulation and self-confidence
Outside of teaching kid’s yoga classes locally, I also work as the Licensee Director and as a Trainer for KAY. I lead 2-day workshops teaching those who are interested in getting certified to teach kid’s yoga, and I also am trained to lead Edu-KAY workshops. Edu-KAY is a 6-hour professional development workshop designed to give teachers, school counselors and administrators the tools to implement yoga, meditation and mindfulness into their classrooms.
Kidding Around Yoga has brought a whole new level of experiences to my existing classes, and I can’t wait to share peace, love, joy and yoga to as many children as possible!

I would love the opportunity to introduce the Science of Yoga to your troop and help them earn a Yoga Fun Patch.
While teaching the Science of Yoga, KAY provides a curriculum that is specifically designed to help children be active, learn to relax, improve focus, and have FUN in a non-competitive environment. I will offer a class customized for your troop, which will include a Girl Scout Yoga story, meditation techniques, games, activities, and much more!
I look forward to hearing from your organization to schedule a class soon.
Children today live in a very fast-paced world. Between pressures from school, extra curricular activities, their peers, parents, and society, the hustle and bustle of every day life can quickly wear down on a child’s inner peace and joy. All of these pressures and expectations can lead to a whole lot of stress, and while most kids are not familiar with the concept of stress, they can still experience what it feels like without giving it a label or name.
For educators, the challenge is to figure out how to instruct children in yoga, meditation and mindfulness in bits and pieces throughout the school day, without interfering with their current curriculum. Kidding Around Yoga offers a 6-hour professional development workshop called EduKAY designed specifically for this purpose. Teachers, counselors and administrators come away form this workshop with tons of resources that they can immediately implement into their classrooms/schools.
