Hi, I’m Zoël — although most of the kids I teach know me simply as Zoe!
My love of movement began when I was seven years old, when I started taking ballet, jazz, and Highland dance. What began as a childhood passion grew into a lifelong journey of teaching, learning, and discovering the many ways movement can bring people joy, confidence, connection, and a sense of well-being.
Over the years, I’ve taught dance and fitness in studios and community settings, trained at the Royal Winnipeg School of Ballet, and owned a competitive dance studio in Northern Alberta. While dance and fitness have always been a big part of my life, my teaching has evolved to focus on something I value even more: creating welcoming movement experiences where people of all abilities can participate, feel successful, and enjoy themselves.
Today, I offer programs for children, daycares, schools, community programs, and older adults in retirement communities. My classes combine movement, music, mindfulness, creativity, and plenty of fun — with activities adapted to the age, abilities, interests, and needs of each group.
For Kids
My journey into children’s yoga began in 2019 when I became certified with Kidding Around Yoga. I immediately loved its playful approach to yoga and mindfulness. Through kids yoga, dance, and creative movement, I love helping children develop confidence, coordination, body awareness, focus, and emotional skills — while making movement something they genuinely look forward to.
For Seniors
I also bring my love of music, dance, yoga, and fitness to retirement communities through engaging chair-based and senior-friendly programs. Classes can range from Chair Yoga, Chair Fitness, Chair Dance, and Zumba® Gold Chair.
Programs can be offered as ongoing weekly series, one-time special events, or rotating themes based on what residents enjoy. Classes can also be adapted to be fully seated or include optional standing movement.
Whether I’m dancing with a group of children or leading a room full of seniors through a favourite song, my goal is the same: to create a welcoming space where people can move, connect, laugh, and feel good about participating.
My Philosophy
I believe movement should be accessible, enjoyable, and something people look forward to.
Joyful, accessible movement for every generation.
