Greetings! My name is Dr. Jen, and I am a proud KAY yoga teacher. I am also a certified 200-hour Integral yoga teacher and a certified Meditation teacher. I have devoted my career to education, and earned a doctorate in Spanish, English & Women’s & Gender Studies. I teach university level Spanish, English and Cultural Competency and Diversity Education courses. I have come to understand that an education in yoga is important for developing and maintaining a healthy body and mind. Yoga provides physical exercise as well as the tools we all need to make the best of our lives by learning how to focus our attention and our minds. Children, young adults and families of all ages, benefit from practicing yoga. I hope to bring the benefits of yoga to all in my community. All human bodies, even those with differing levels of strength, mobility and ability, are able to learn how to incorporate yoga into their lives. All humans of every nation, religion, gender identity, race and ethnicity are welcome to join me this peaceful and loving practice.
Kidding Around Yoga is a fun and engaging way to experience physical activity combined with mindfulness practices and meditation. With songs, games and interactive playfulness in every class, KAY yoga classes are a great way to incorporate self-care and self-regulation into any routine.
As an educator with over 15 years of experience in traditional classrooms, I became a KAY yoga teacher to bring my love of yoga to my community. I have taught yoga to children, young adults and families for the following organizations:
- The YMCA of Olean New York
- Ralph C. Wilson Jr. Foundation Girls in Sports Days
- United Way Girls & Women in Sports Days
- Cattaraugus-Little Valley Central School
- Olean Public Library
- Bradford Public Library, Pennsylvania
- Canticle Farm, Allegany New York
- St. Bonaventure University
At St. Bonaventure University, I have taught yoga for stress reduction to college students, faculty and staff, as well as for our Division 1 Athletes on the Women’s Basketball and Softball teams.
I also teach for St. Bonaventure University’s Kinder Kinetics Physical Education program through the School of Education. The program focuses on skill development for young children from our community schools with exceptionalities as well as children in Montessori education programs.
