About Kidding Around Yoga

Every Kidding Around Yoga class offers a complete, age-appropriate Yoga practice including breathing instruction, relaxation techniques, stretching and strengthening poses, all using fun-filled music, games, and imagination. KAY’s secret is our playfulness, keeping your child motivated, excited, and moving. This is not your typical Yoga class. A KAY class gets children singing, dancing, skipping, marching, jogging, shaking, laughing, hopping, limbo-ing, and storytelling ALL while practicing Yoga to original KAY music.

Kidding Around Yoga classes are a unique opportunity to give your child skills that will provide a sense of balance, calm, and power for years to come.

About Preesha

I am most passionate about, “My kids!”. I decided to expand my interest with a focus on teaching children. My children have inspired me to take this course as a way of working with children, to share with them the fun side of yoga. Yoga isn’t just about postures and meditation, through fun learning activities, arts & crafts and music, Kidding Around Yoga shows the children a different aspect of yoga.

I began my love affair with Yoga 4 years ago. As a well-rounded Yoga instructor, I uniquely teach yoga to both adults and children. Having taught mindfulness in schools, I incorporate this knowledge into my Yoga classes making it fascinating. I am deeply passionate about Yoga and learning the raj side of it (the teachings behind it). I have completed RYT 200 Hatha Yoga teacher training, Raj Yoga 1 & 2, and Prenatal Yoga courses all of which contribute to my style of teaching.

I firmly believe that yoga provides a nurturing pathway of positivity and growth that can transform any life. A healthy balanced lifestyle and mindset can be cultivated at every age no matter what.

My joy and passion for yoga are palpable and infectious. Over the years, I have dedicated myself to the practice, study, and teachings of yoga since discovering it’s joys and benefits. On the mat, I create balance, fun-filled, intellectual, refreshing yoga sequences that take my students on far away imaginary journeys (our secret garden). My style brings together elements of strength, flexibility, and balance, encouraging my students to break through their perceived limitations both on and off the mat.

I equip these children with tools that can help them connect to themselves, their family, at school and within their communities. They are our bright and shining future so what better way than to help to to main a healthy body, growing self confidence and a happy self!

Tuesdays 4.30pm – 5.30pm Ages 4-7

Thursdays 4pm – 5pm – Ages 4-7
Thursdays 5.15pm-6.15pm – Ages 8-11

Saturdays 11am – 12pm – Ages 4-7
Saturdays 12.15pm – 1.15pm – Ages 8-11

Girl Scouts

Hello local Scouts and neighborhood leaders!

I would love the opportunity to introduce the Science of Yoga to your troop/den and help them earn a Yoga Fun Patch.

While teaching the Science of Yoga, KAY provides a curriculum that is specifically designed to help children be active, learn to relax, improve focus, and have FUN in a non-competitive environment. I will offer a class customized for your troop level, which can include a special scout story, meditation techniques, games, activities, and much more!

I teach all troop/den levels and can even do a private sessions as well.
