Since I was a little girl, I have loved movement, play, adventure and the outdoors. Whether it was hiking up a mountain, practicing sports on the field or in the gym, playing a pickup game on the beach, learning a new dance, or riding my bicycle, I was loving it and I still do. I have become an experienced teacher in Physical Education, movement, sports, health, fitness and yoga. After years of teaching sports and fitness through Physical Education, I have spent more time learning about yoga and mindfulness and all the benefits it provides us. I love that yoga allows me to continue to participate in all of the activities I love because yoga keeps my body strong and flexible, my mind focused and present, and my heart full of peace, joy and love. After years of practicing yoga, I earned my 200-RYT certification in 2015 followed by my KAY certification in 2016. I practice yoga to keep my body, mind and heart healthy and strong so I can be the be st version of myself and continue to be able to do all the things I love. Each time I practice yoga I gain a sense of awareness, peace, joy and love for the present moment. It helps me to be more mindful so that I can live more freely and fully in the present moment. With each yoga practice, I build my confidence and competence on the mat so that I can bring more confidence and competence into my life and the world off the mat. I want to share all of these gifts and spread the love of yoga with others. Let’s practice yoga together. With a balance of purpose with play in each class, we can learn about the why and how yoga helps our brain and body, and we also use our imagination and curiosity to have fun at the same time.
