I am proud to be a Kidding Around Yoga Licensee, 200-RYT (registered yoga teacher), and elementary school teacher. I am passionate about educating young children. Utilizing the KAY Method, which highlights the interconnectedness between the mind and body, students in my classes are able to explore their natural creativity through movement in the yoga asanas. Most importantly, the KAY Method is the modality that helps me teach children how to be kind to themselves and others. It nurtures and provides an outlet for challenging feelings and behaviors. After nearly two decades of practicing yoga, I am excited to be a part of the Kidding Around Yoga teaching community.
I have been an early childhood/elementary school teacher for 11 years, and hold a Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I have experience working with a diverse population of children as well as children with special needs. I love to share yoga with the students in my own class each year!
I blend my knowledge and experience as an educator with the style and format of the Kidding Around Yoga experience. I offer classes to boys and girls of all ages (private, semi-private, or group), theme classes, and children’s yoga birthday parties in the New Jersey area (the counties of Hudson, Bergen, and Essex).
Each of my classes follows a KAY format and includes ways to help children practice mindfulness, self-awareness, confidence, as well as strength and flexibility. Little Yogis find a sense of calm and peace through breathing and relaxation, and promote the cultivation of self-love in a developmentally and age-appropriate way! I tailor instruction to your personal needs and can modify instruction for all learners!
