Being a Mom has been my greatest joy and biggest blessing in many ways. One of which, is a deeper understanding of yoga. My understanding is that yoga is a state of being. A state of being that is completely present and aware of the living connection between myself and all beings. I have have been practicing yoga in various forms for the past eighteen years. Yoga has given me holistic gifts that are priceless. The ability to heal viscerally when I was ill, the ability to de-stress, trust and acceptance in myself, an increased ability to trust and accept circumstances, enhanced body awareness, and happiness.
Teaching Kid’s yoga is a wonderful way for me to combine all of my talents and passions. Because KAY tells stories, and uses music, play, and many other creative tools I am utilizing my experience from my studies in Theatre. I graduated from Auburn University in 1997 with a BFA in Theatre Performance. Later I went on to become a Massage Therapist, finished training at Rising Spirit Institute Of Natural Health, and practiced the healing arts for seven years. Then finally, I became a Momma.
Kidding Around Yoga classes provide a non-competitive, nurturing, fun filled space where kids can grow in awareness while bonding with other children. I believe the healthy tools your children will learn while in my classes will stay with them throughout their lives. I am so excited about teaching the joy of yoga to your children, and I hope to see you soon!
