Jackie was introduced to yoga following an injury and started practicing with the hope that it could help her in the healing process. From that first class she took, she immediately knew that yoga would be a big part of her life and decided to pursue becoming a yoga teacher. Jackie received her 200-hour certification from Fitness Yoga Studios in May 2014, her Kid’s Yoga certification from Kidding Around Yoga in April 2015 and is a registered yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance. Jackie also has a Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Rowan University.
Whether Jackie’s teaching Kid’s Yoga, a challenging Vinyasa class or something in between, it has been a true joy for her to work with people of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels! With every class, she looks to provide a positive environment that will allow every yoga student an opportunity to experience the many physical, mental and/or emotional benefits yoga has to offer. Jackie is thrilled to be able to introduce Yoga to kids and have a chance to witness the positive impact yoga has on them first-hand. Yoga is not just a fun way to get kids up and moving- it’s giving kids the tools they need to better manage stress, better understand themselves and their emotions and yoga is also teaching kids how to be kind and mindful people. In the fast-paced world we live in these positive values will go a long way in helping kids to be happier and healthier people… It doesn’t get much better than that!
It’s hard to ignore all of the positive buzz surrounding yoga for kids these days. Scientific studies are proving that yoga is physically, mentally and emotionally beneficial to kids of all ages and it’s quickly becoming the go-to method for fighting stress and anxiety while promoting fun and safe physical activities and so much more.
