Kelly is a 200hr Registered Yoga Teacher and a 95hr Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher. She has an extensive background working with children. She started her career as a child life specialist in the hospital setting. She then attained her elementary teacher certification and has taught children ranging in age from preschool through fifth grade. She is also a mother of four children. Over the years the environment in which she worked with children changed, however, one thing remained constant, her belief that the most important things she could bring a child were self-confidence, strength, and the power to create their own inner peace. This has led her to become a children’s yoga instructor. Kelly believes the benefits of yoga can last a child a lifetime. She strives to educate and engage children and their families in these practices.
Kelly also works with parents to help create calm and connected homes through implementing mindful family practices. Parents can work with Kelly to approach parenting through the lens of mindfulness.
Outside of working with parents and teaching yoga classes, Kelly also works as a Trainer for KAY. She leads 2-day workshops teaching those who are interested in getting certified to teach kid’s yoga, and also is trained to lead Edu-KAY workshops. Edu-KAY is a 6-hour professional development workshop designed to give teachers, school counselors and administrators the tools to implement yoga, meditation and mindfulness into their classrooms
