Camp KAY Testimonials

“When I began the conversation with my 9 year old son about sleep away summer camps he was not so sure it was for him. I was delighted when I discovered Camp Kidding Around Yoga was a family camp. I felt that this would be a great way to introduce sleep away camp to my son. Camp Kidding Around Yoga exceeded my expectations. Haris and her staff were wonderful. The activities were well planed and enjoyable. The facilities were very comfortable. My sons can’t wait till next year!”

“My daughters attended Camp Yogaville every year for 11 years– first as little campers, then CITs, then young adult counselors. In Camp Yogaville, Haris Lender created and developed a unique camp based on yogic principles that also includes lots of fun, all kinds of learning, and super great kid-friendly vegetarian food. Not only my girls, but all the kids we’ve met over the years, absolutely LOVE Camp Yogaville and Haris, and it’s been a real pleasure to observe each child grow in confidence and poise after a week of hatha yoga, meditation, fresh air and good clean fun. The kids (and parents) also love all the many wonderful adult counselors and teachers Haris has single-handedly attracted to the camp and who return year after year to serve the kids. Haris has a real gift with children and as a result Camp Yogaville has been a real gift to all its campers and parents.”

“My daughter first attended Camp KAY in 2017. It was her first sleep away camp experience. She was understandably nervous to be away from home for an entire week (we live in Orlando) but the welcoming environment that was created allowed her to relax almost instantly. By the time I left her on Sunday she was already settled into her bunk and chatting with her new friends. By the end of the week she had made many new friends and didn’t want to leave. She must have asked at least one a month all year if she would be going back to Camp KAY. Of course she did in 2018, and she will continue to go for years to come! Haris and her staff do a great job of creating a fun, safe, and nurturing environment for all campers in attendance. We are so glad that Camp KAY is part of our life.” – Joshua Sawyer
