About Ms. Marissa
My personal yoga practice has helped me to love myself as I am and connect to my heart to lead a happier, less anxious, more purposeful life. It gave me the courage to leave a successful corporate career to live and work in China for three years! I was first drawn to Kidding Around Yoga as a means to connect with the children in China (while helping with their English!) After witnessing how yoga helped bring ease to them, despite the language barrier, I knew I wanted to reach as many kids as possible. Teaching them yoga and tools for daily life can help them to feel at peace, listen to the whispers of their heart and follow their dreams. When we embrace our inner light and shine it inspires others to do the same. Just as we teach and practice in KAY, “Peace begins with me.”
It has been several years since teaching my first KAY class in China and am now based in New York as a certified 200 E-RYT with a focus on accessibility for all ages. My current yoga business serves children and adults with varying challenges and abilities. I also enjoy leading workshops and consulting to help the community. I believe yoga is for EVERY body. Everyone should be able to experience it at their own pace in a way that feels good for them. I love finding creative ways to connect to each student and tailor sessions to their specific needs and interests.
I am grateful to KAY for the diverse toolbox and many opportunities to grow in sharing this incredible Kidding Around Yoga training with others, I hope you will join in my KAY training in November!
