Potential KAY Trainers – Job Requirements This form will tell you a little more about what is required of our trainers. Name(Required) First Last Date(Required) Month Day Year Email(Required) Phone(Required)All potential trainers are required to attend 3 trainings. You will discuss with your TC which will be the best options for you (live, virtual, pre-recorded) and if there are any associated retake fees.(Required) I agree to this, this sounds like a great deal! I cannot agree to this. As a KAY Trainer it is recommended that you have taken our 95 hours of training (basic certification and one of our advanced training options) but it is not mandatory. Trainers receive 50% off the education portion of any of our advanced training options if they have already led their first training. Do you understand?(Required) Yes, this is fantastic! No, I am going to email my TC with my questions I realize that being a KAY trainer is a physical, strenuous and demanding job with lots of unknown obstacles and challenges. You need to be able to do the following items listed. Check all that you are capable of.(Required) I can lift up to 40 pounds. I can stay calm and keep my cool when unexpected things occur. I can think and act quickly to find a smart solution when things go awry. I am able to stand on my feet for 8+ hours per day for the duration of the training (approximately 20 hours per training). I can and will fully demonstrate at least 80% of the games, songs and activities that are to be presented at the KAY training. I will be prompt, if not early, when "on the KAY clock." Select AllAt KAY we have a high standard of professionalism when it comes to working with potential trainees, current and past trainees, your fellow colleagues, members of Team KAY, as well as any other clients that you might interact with on your Kids Yoga journey. This includes, but is not limited to responding to communications in a timely manner (from your KAY email address), giving each person you encounter their due diligence based on their request, and to refrain from complaining or speaking poorly of KAY or other yoga-affiliated organizations before, during or after your live training weekends.(Required) I understand and agree to uphold the professionalism standards that KAY has set forth. You will be responsible for finding locations to hold KAY trainings. KAY will help guide you, but you must be able to be independent and responsible and start a relationship with a potential training site. Your (TC) will discuss payment, etc., but you will be in charge of making initial contact, checking the appropriateness of the location, choosing dates for the training, and providing the training location form to the host before your TC makes contact with the training site.(Required) Ok great. I am really good at being organized and starting a productive relationship with people. I don't feel like I would be good at this. As a trainer, you are required to lead at least 3 KAY trainings per year. If you own your own studio and will only be doing trainings there, it is ok to do a minimum of 2 per year. Failure to do so may result in your trainer agreement not being renewed.(Required) I will fulfill this requirement, no problem. I'm not sure I can lead this many trainings per year. You have several options of places to hold a KAY training. Some options include: Community Centers, YMCAs, JCCs, Schools, Preschools, and yoga studios (which are not necessarily our favorite).(Required) I understand and will think outside the box to find training locations. I don't want to look for training locations. You will have to have at least 2 KAY shirts in your wardrobe. KAY doesn't provide these so you will have to pay for them.(Required) No problem, if I don't already have at least 2 I will buy them prior to my first training. I will NOT buy KAY shirts. All trainers must have all of the required supplies for each training. This includes manuals, certificates and clear sleeves, twine and beads for making malas, and some other supplies (items for your bag of tricks like pompoms, hoberman sphere, tingsha bells, props for Yogi Shake, etc.). Are you ok with this?(Required) Yes, I know that KAY trainings are a great way to make some cash so I am happy to invest in each training. I don't really want to pay for anything for trainings even though I will make good money for leading the training. All trainers are required to estimate their expenses for each training and run them by their TC prior to booking by filling out the designated Training Proposal form at your TC's request (she will provide you with the sheet to complete). The Trainer agrees to update their TC if major cost adjustments occur and when they are ready to book their travel. The final costs are to be recorded on the Post Training form. How do you feel about this?(Required) Great! I like to budget and always look around for the best deals on flights, lodging, etc. Nervous, I am not very good with technology and research. KAY has a marketing team that works hard to fill each training. It is the job of each trainer to work with them to provide information about the local area and to communicate with them in a timely fashion. Are you willing to do this?(Required) Yes of course! I will be all up in their faces. I normally take a few days to respond to messages and emails. You will be responsible for posting your training events that KAY creates on Facebook and on any other social media that you have. You will be asked to help spread the word and to communicate in the Facebook event and periodically check and respond to comments on the FB advertisement.(Required) 10-4, I will keep a close eye on all of the Facebook events so that I can answer any comments or questions posted in a timely manner. I don't really use Facebook. You will be responsible for sharing your Free Kidding Around Yoga Family Class event on Facebook and on any other social media that you have once the web team has created the event and shared it with you. You will also be sure to post inside the event and respond to any comments made in a timely manner. Do you agree?(Required) Yes, of course. I know how important that free class is! No, I'll just tell my neighbors to come to the class and that should be good enough. After each training we require you to complete and submit a Post Training form telling us about how things went. Your payment worksheet will not be prepared until this form is received. Will you remember to do this?(Required) Of course, I have check-lists for everything! I will probably forget, I am a real space-case. After each training we re-book the location if the training went well. Depending on the location we may want to do either 2 or 3 trainings there per year. Will you be comfortable asking the studio contact when we can book the next one?(Required) Yes of course! We will have been talking a lot so it will be a natural part of our conversation. I am not sure, I am kind of shy. KAY is always growing and we make changes often to adapt to our increasing size and new trends. Are you willing to go with the flow and make a cognizant effort to keep up with the changes?(Required) All of Team KAY and our Trainers communicate via Facebook and email on a very regular basis. I understand that in order to be in touch and to do my job satisfactorily, it's essential that I check my Facebook messages, the KAY Trainer forum on Facebook, my KAY email at LEAST once per day, as well as respond if applicable, and the Trainer Tribune, a newsletter for trainers that is sent out periodically.(Required) Great! I am on Facebook and email often, this won't be an issue. I don't really use Facebook or email, but I will make a point of checking in regularly. I don't think I will be able to keep up with this. As a trainer, you will be responsible to keep your personal liability insurance current and to provide a copy of it to KAY each time you renew.(Required) I understand and agree to submit a current copy of my insurance policy to KAY.
